Braelynn 2023 Ambassador

We are honoured to introduce you to our 2023 Ambassador, seven-year-old Braelynn. A spirited, engaging, humourous and wise beyond her years little girl.

Braelynn lives with the condition of Spinal Muscular Atrophy, a rare genetic disease. Diagnosed just shortly after her first birthday, she is missing the gene which allows her to voluntarily move her muscles. She has been receiving care from the amazing Rehabilitation Centre team for over five years. To her family, the Centre feels like their second home.

Your support of the Foundation has enhanced Braelynn’s life in many ways. She has received adapted equipment that grows with her and has been the recipient of specialized technology to enhance her independence. Her neuromuscular disease is progressive, so she will always need assistance to live her life to the fullest.

This beautiful little human loves Minecraft, unicorns, donuts and playing outside with her friends. Her parents, Ryan and Maylia, are so grateful to you, for being in their daughter’s corner.

We look forward to sharing much more about Braelynn over the coming year.
