Gifts of securities

Give while maximizing your tax benefits

Your gift of publicly traded securities, such as stocks, mutual funds, or bonds, to Children’s Rehabilitation Foundation will enhance the lives of children with disabilities while offering tax advantages.

This method is one of the most tax-efficient ways to give, enabling you to maximize your donation’s impact. A donation receipt will be issued for the fair market value of the security at day’s end on the date of transfer. A Certified Investment Broker is needed to legally make the transfer of securities to Children’s Rehabilitation Foundation. The gift will not qualify for the elimination of capital gains tax if the securities are sold and the cash then gifted to the Foundation.

Complete the form below and ask your broker to initiate the transfer. If you do not have a broker, please send the completed form directly to your delivering institution.

A Donor Advised Fund is a simple and tax-efficient way to support children and families accessing rehabilitation services. Recommending a grant to Children’s Rehabilitation Foundation is an easy process through your Donor Advised Fund provider.

Life insurance gifts ensure future support for the Foundation’s programs and services, helping to transform the lives of children with disabilities. You can name Children’s Rehabilitation Foundation as a beneficiary or transfer ownership of a life insurance policy. Premium payments made after the transfer are also eligible for a charitable tax receipt.

Donate a car

Donate a Car Canada accepts vehicle donations for the Children’s Rehabilitation Foundation. Free towing is provided in most areas across Canada, or you can drop off your vehicle to maximize your donation. When you donate your car, truck, RV, boat or motorcycle to the Foundation it will either be recycled or re-sold (depending on its condition, age and location). Donate a Car Canada will look after all the details to make it easy for the youth we serve to benefit. You will receive a tax receipt after your donation has been processed!
