We are excited to be moving full strength ahead as Kathryn McBurney joins us in early April as the incoming Executive Director for Children’s Rehabilitation Foundation. Kathryn and Jane Kidd-Hantscher will work collaboratively over the next few months supporting youth across Manitoba including Claire, our current ambassador. She will take the organizational reins this June upon Jane’s retirement.
Kathryn is an award-winning leader and communications expert with more than 25 years in public, private, and not-for-profit sectors. She has worked at Children’s Hospital Foundation for seven years including as Vice President of Communications and Marketing. In this role, she has been an outstanding advocate for impactful storytelling that represents the diversity of our province’s youth population and their health experiences. She has helped shape transformative campaigns in fundraising including The Better Futures Campaign which achieved record-breaking results through strategic partnerships, storytelling, media outreach and grassroots fundraising.
Children’s Rehabilitation Foundation has experienced considerable growth over the past few years. Community and donor support are integral to this growth and fulfilling our mission to invest in the Rehabilitation Centre for Children and meet the needs of youth. We welcome Kathryn and look forward to her continuing the Foundation’s journey, leading with positivity, inclusiveness and passion.
