Meet Claire

We’re thrilled to introduce you to seven-year-old Claire, an energetic and determined young girl who radiates joy and resilience. Her life was forever altered in 2021 when diagnosed with Acute Flaccid Myelitis, secondary to West Nile virus. This rare neurological condition resulted in peripheral nerve damage and partial paralysis. Despite ongoing challenges, Claire faces each day with courage and a contagious spirit.

Thanks to your generosity, Claire has and will continue to access life-changing support from the Rehabilitation Centre for Children and Foundation. She is cared for by dedicated rehab professionals who support her range of needs and recommend solutions which enable her to remain active and independent. Your generosity helps her thrive.

Claire is a true adventurer at heart. She loves puzzles, LEGO, wheelchair basketball, cheering on the Winnipeg Jets and singing along to her favourite artists with her younger sister Emily. Her parents, Brant and Gillian, are deeply grateful for the compassion and support they have received for their daughter and entire family.
