We want you to know that the health and safety of children, families and our staff is top priority during the COVID-19 pandemic.
A message from our Executive Director, Christine Schollenberg:
On the heels of our very first virtual event, I’m feeling immense gratitude. We couldn’t make our way down Wellington Crescent together, but the community came together in amazing and inventive ways online. Despite this being a difficult time, fundraising was stronger than ever, and that is a true testament of how strongly our community believes in our mission. From the avid runners racing 5k to families enjoying bike rides, your generosity will make a difference in the life of children living with disabilities.
Our future fundraising events may be cancelled, but the need remains the same. Your continued support brings us comfort as we forge our way into more virtual fundraisers.
Please be safe, and sing a favorite song while you wash your hands!
Fundraising Events – Cancellations and Postponements
- Rotary Club Winnipeg West Chicken Fest’s 2020 event is cancelled. In lieu of the dinner, they are holding a 50/50 draw with funds donating to CRF.
- Fabulous 50’s Ford Club of Manitoba’s Flashback Weekend (Sock hop, Scenic Cruise and Garden City Classic Car Show) has been cancelled. We look forward to seeing you in 2021.
The CRF team is currently working offsite. All our employees are reachable through email. For any general inquiries you can phone 204.258.6700.
- For RCC clients—as services continue at SSCY Centre, all visitors entering the building will be screened. A triaging process has been put into place in each clinical area to determine whether clients need to be seen in person, could be seen through a virtual visit, or whether appointments could be deferred to a later date without negative impacts. For more information visit their website or call 204.452.4311.
We are continuing to move forward with our mission to support children living with disabilities. Any support, big or small, will always be valuable to children living with disabilities. If you would like to donate, please do so online or phone 204.258.6700.
