The annual Canadian Tire Regent Starkids Golf Tournament began in 1998 as a means to fund the Rehabilitation Centre for Children’s Specialized Communication Resources for Children (SCRC) department. SCRC, which is now funded entirely by this golf tournament, helps non-speaking children learn to communicate in alternative ways. Speech-language professionals use innovative technology and teaching methods to educate parents on how to communicate with their children, which in turn helps children learn how to communicate. Your support of the Canadian Tire Regent Starkids Golf Tournament will help give a voice to Manitoba children and youth living with disabilities.
