Who we are
The Children’s Rehabilitation Foundation is a Manitoba charity, dedicated to helping children with disabilities and special needs be as independent as possible. We are the fund raising arm for the Rehabilitation Centre for Children (RCC). The Centre is an outpatient facility providing rehabilitation services and specialized health clinics for children and youth who live with life-long conditions. Every year, over 22,000 visits are made to RCC. For more information about RCC, click here.
What we do
The Foundation raises funds - through special events, grants and donations - to improve the lives of children who access services provided by the Rehabilitation Centre for Children.
Our vision is for all children to have the support required to realize their abilities. Children with disabilities and special needs should have the same opportunities as other children to learn, play and grow.
The Foundation funds specialized equipment and adapted recreation programs to help them do so. Equipment and programs funded by the Foundation include:
• Mobility equipment like lightweight wheelchairs and specialty walkers
• Speaking and communication devices
• Educational technology equipment, such as laptops and specialty software
• Specialized recreation equipment, such as modified bicycles and sporting devices
• Home health equipment such as commodes and shower chairs
• Adapted recreation programs, such as Cooking Clubs, Summer Camps and Saturday Night For Teens program.

Who we help
The Children’s Rehabilitation Foundation is committed to helping children living in Manitoba, Northwestern Ontario, Nunavut and parts of Saskatchewan who live with disabilities and special needs. For these children, daily activities such as getting dressed, eating meals, going to school and playing with friends are challenging and filled with obstacles.
We need your help!
The Children’s Rehabilitation Foundation is 100% supported through private donations, grants and special events. We need your help to continue helping children living with special needs and disabilities. With your support, the Foundation can continue to purchase equipment children need to be more independent and fund adapted recreation programs that enhance their social and life skills. Our goal is to have no child waiting to receive equipment they need.
